I am interested in buying either a 37″ or 42″ LCD and was told because of the screen size it wouldn’t matter to much. If I were to go to a bigger screen then 1080p would be best. Is this accurate?

If I want to watch a movie in 1080p resolution on a 720p screen is the image going to be better than watching a 720p resolution movie on the same screen?

What are the steps to this? Is it already done as long as I am hooked up to Xbox live? Is 1080p that a big of a difference from other HD resolutions? What does it mean when my screen goes black or dark when I switch over to 1080p on display settings in Xbox console menu?

Calling fellow gamers….
I’ve just started playing Uncharted, Drakes Fortune, the display is showing in 720 but I saw online it can be played in 1080p for even better graphics. Anyone know how to do this? My TV is a1080p so there is no problem there.
Thanks!

I have a budget of 1500 dollars. I want to know if I should get a 720p projector or a 1080p projector. The TV only has a 1000:1 contrast ratio, but the projector has a 10,000:1 contrast ratio. I know with the projector that the image is blown up, so the definition will be worse. But I still cant decide, can anyone help me. PS I am a videophile, so I dont mind if you use technical terms and descriptions.

I have a custom built PC, but it’s very old and can’t even play 720p videos. What hardware do I need to change in it so I can play full 1080p movies on my PC? Please recommend some types/model names of the parts I need to buy. I already have a full HD monitor.
Many thanks!!

I will only be using this TV for watching HD movies. Walmart is selling a 720p Sanyo for Black Friday. Just wanted some thoughts on if it is worth it to pony up the cash for 1080p. Again, I will only be using this TV for watching HD movies. Thanks.

I just purchased a 42″ Phillips 1080p LCD TV and heard there are a lot of expensive cords I need to buy to make it work at its best, but I don’t know how many or which ones. All I’ll be hooking up to it is a DVD player. Any suggestions?
