How Do I Update The 360 To 1080p Resolution?
What are the steps to this? Is it already done as long as I am hooked up to Xbox live? Is 1080p that a big of a difference from other HD resolutions? What does it mean when my screen goes black or dark when I switch over to 1080p on display settings in Xbox console menu?

you can’t, the closest you can do is use the component cables they supply you with that they for some reason call “HD”, you can also spend $200 for a HD DVD player that’ss plug into the 360. but that wont do anything for your games. if you wanted 1080 gaming, you should have gotten a PS3

you can go with a VGA cord to get 1080i viewing . If you are connected to xbox live you will automatically receive a download for the 1080i. You will not have to try and find it. But just to make sure, go to system tabs then counsel settings..then click display, then HDTV settings. Let me remind you though, if you do not have a true high def TV (1080) you will only be able to view your games in 720..in order to find out what your tv will support you can look it up online or in your owners manuel.
