Could any body pls recommend any 1080p HDTV, any brand, which can show decent standard definition cable or Sat programming? I have yet to find a 1080p which is without pixelation and cloudiness for SD channels. tks

How good is the quality for a 1080P plasma screen hooked up to a computer as a monitor? Since the price is so much cheaper than an LCD, I was wondering if it would make a big difference in clarity.

When online vendors state that certain screens could get 1920 * 1080p do they need good graphics cards like at least 1 GB of video memory. if u got a 1080p screen with 512 gb graphics card would it have the full 1080p res?

Until recently, I assumed resolution scaled up with screen size. However, now that I know 1080p means there will only be 1,080 lines of resolution, regardless of screen size, it makes me wonder how 1080p could possibly look good in a movie theater.
I mean, on a 50 foot screen, the height’s about 25 feet, and each line of resolution would be about a quarter inch. Could that be right?
