I read online the only way to keep transfer the 1080p resolution on the XBox 360 HD DVD drive was to use a VGA cable(as opposed to the USB). My new plasma doesn’t have a VGA input. Is there a way to go from VGA to HDMI?

What are the steps to this? Is it already done as long as I am hooked up to Xbox live? Is 1080p that a big of a difference from other HD resolutions? What does it mean when my screen goes black or dark when I switch over to 1080p on display settings in Xbox console menu?

I am looking at two TVs:
Pioneer KURO PDP-6010FD 60″ 1080p Plasma HDTV
Pioneer PDP-6070HD 60″ PureVision Plasma HDTV
The second one is 1375 x 785 and I would like to know the perceivable difference in picture quality between the two. Thanks.

I want a 1080p picture, but I’m wondering about the “supports up to” part of the projector’s description on a 720 projector.
In other words, if I can spend $1500 over $2500, and still have a great picture, I’ll do it.

I am thinking of upgrading to a high definition TV, but I am having a tough time picking one out. I would like a one between 30 and 40 inches and in 1080p resolution, but many I find in that size have the lower 720p resolution. I would also eventually like to buy a Blu-Ray player for it. Is there really a big difference between the two in picture quality?

1080p displays are the newest types of LCD displays on the market. Although broadcasters do not send a 1080p signal yet, the newest Blu-ray and HD DVD players do. If you want the highest possible picture detail and a display that will accommodate higher resolutions in the future, then the cost may be worth it.
